Thank you Ashmole Phoenix gymnastic club! They raised over £3,000 for Chiane’s treatment in America! Chiane and Chris visited them today to say thank you! Thank you all the children, parents and teachers for the fundraising!
5 November 2011
On the 3, 4, 5 November, 124 Gymnasts from Ashmole› Phoenix Gymnastics Club completed their sponsor a star challenge raising money for their fellow gymnast Chiane.
Gymnasts and coaches completed as many stars as they could in one minute, which the coaches found was quite a challenge! Over 8500 stars were completed across the 8 classes, with one girl completing 100. We’ve raised so far £350 from just 16 gymnasts! The remaining money is due in over the next few weeks.
There were big smiles throughout the challenge and the children supported each other during their stars by counting and timing. The parents congratulated their children and pledged to raise as much money as possible for our brave little star – Chiane!!
My name is Arty and I took part in the Walk for life with my colleagues and family in October. I wanted to do something else so decided to take on my biggest challenge…losing weight!! So I started a sponsored healthy eating diet and have lost almost half a stone so far. People are sponsoring me either per pound lost or a set amount, thankfully the final weigh in is just before Christmas!! Please sponsor me by donating through this website. Chiane is a wonderful girl and we all want to help in any way we can, so I’m very grateful for friends and family who have sponsored me so far.
We have completed the orders from all the PartyLite candle sales, 50% profit went towards Chiane’s fundraising! We were very fortunate to be able to send $500.00!! We want to thank EVERYONE who bought from us AND those who also gave a monetary donation. THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts! We will continue to help in any way that we can!

The Short Pink Bob!
My name is Maria and like all of us, we have fallen in love with Chiane. Her strength and bravery has inspired us all. We want nothing more than to see her well and healthy and so I am cutting my hair into a sharp bob and colouring it Chiane’s favourite colour……..pink! Chocolate brown would have been too much to hope for lol. I am hoping to raise as much money as I can to help support her family in getting her to the States where she can receive the treatment she needs. Please feel free to sponsor me by donating whatever you can.

On the weekend of 12th and 13th of November Gina, Louise, Fiona and the rest of Gymnasts from Ashmole Phoenix Gymnastics Club decided to organize some fundraising during the London Gymnastics competition. The event lasted two days, so they thought it was a good idea to try and raise some money as well as awareness of Chiane’s case. And what I great idea it was! All together they managed to raise £1351 and someone also donated £500 through the website to bring the total up to £1851!
Gina and her gymnastics team also held an event called Sponsor a Star where they raised over a £1000.
Well done to everyone involved!
Helen and her team from Helen Nicolas Accounting Solutions arranged a Charity walk to raise donations for Chiane. All donations will go towards the family’s travel expenses, supplements, enzymes, antioxidants, immune boosters, vitamins, diets, weekly fresh organic foods, complimentary treatments supporting her Primary NHS treatment, alternative therapy after completion of her Primary NHS treatment. Sponsorship money will also go towards funding Chiane’s treament in the USA at the Burzynski Clinic in Houston. There is also the possibilty of further alternative therapy in Germany.
The walk was a big success! The walk went from Cockfosters, to Southgate, to East Barnet, past Barnet football club and ended in High Barnet. Collecting donations from members of the public and shops along the way. £1,000.00 was collected from the donations alone!
We all met at 10:30 at Cockfosters. The ladies had their faces painted with Chiane’s favourite animals, ladybirds and butterflies. The guys quickly found other ways to help whilst the face painting was going on, we could not have been seen in public with a butterfly on our face!
We were really well received by all the local shops and members of the public. There were cars stopping in the middle of the road to put money in the collection buckets, people even came running across the street when they saw us and one lady went back to the ATM to draw money as she run out of cash!
This was a great way to raise not only donations but also awareness of Chiane’s fight against cancer.
Thank you to everyone involved in the charity walk, especially Helen Nicolas, Arty Speroni and the rest of team at Helen Nicolas Accounting Solutions.
We hope to have another event soon. If you have something planned or are willing to take part in a fundraising event, please get in touch.
