Sponsor a Star
Chiane is just 5 years old and used to attend our Saturday morning sessions, until she was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of brain cancer in July, since then she has been extremely brave in undergoing the necessary chemo therapy, operations and treatment at Great Ormond Street hospital. Her parents have also been brave and taken a proactive approach in an effort to beat this life threatening condition. They have completed hours and hours of research into alternative therapies and are now working in conjunction with Great Ormond Street and number specialists from around the world to give Chiane the best chance of survival. This alternative treatment is not covered by the NHS, therefore will need to be funded by the family, hence our plea for your help. More information on Chiane and her fight against cancer can be found at www.helpmefightcancer.co.uk.
Because Chiane is a little star for being so brave, our aim is to raise as much money as possible, with our gymnasts completing a sponsored star jump on our new tumble track. All monies raised will go to Chiane and her treatment. Gymnasts will complete their jumps during their normal lesson and the challenge is to complete as many as they can in just 1minute, thereby making it achievable for all – even the coaches!
Download a sponsorship form to aid gathering sponsors. We will complete the challenge the week we return after half term (First week of November). Sponsors can either sponsor per star jump or a set amount. We will then collect the money in and send it to Chiane and her family.
We hope you will join us in raising essential funds for our brave little star – Chiane…
Many thanks for your support.
